If you recently discovered you might be autistic or you're a parent who recently discovered your kiddo might be autistic & you're looking to learn about autism through science and lived experience...
Hi... I'm Nicole! 👋🏻
I'm a late diagnosed (at 38) level 1 autistic person and also the parent of 3 pre-teen autistic & otherwise ND kiddos. I have degrees in Psychology and English and have a career in adult education. So, when you mix all those together, you get...
Me! 🤓
A passionate autistic advocate who uses science based education to teach others about autism.
I lead with empathy first and center my entire advocacy around validating the autistic experience. 🥰
Some more fun facts about how I advocate...
I don't language-police and I don't tell people what to think or how to feel. I share information so people can come to their own conclusions. 😊
I don't see neurodivergence in black and white. It's INCREDIBLY nuanced and complicated. But I try to simplify it and make it as digestible as possible.
I will never judge or vilify well-intentioned parents (or any well-intentioned person) ❤️
I believe in meeting people where they are… not expecting that people magically know things they haven’t learned yet.
I lead with my heart... always.
If you're new here... I'm thrilled you found me and am excited to be a part of your journey! 🤗
