The uncanny autistic ability to draw connections

One autistic strength I haven't seen talked about is the ability to make logical and extremely convincing connections that most people wouldn't think of. 

Our brains automatically do this with our special interest. It literally makes everything related to it somehow. But the connections are sound.

And I think this is why I've always been an exceptional debater and have been told countless times I should have been a lawyer. Because I see connections where the average person wouldn't and am able to make extremely convincing arguments for why those connections exist.

This, of course, won't apply to all autistic people. But I do think intense interests feed this very particular strength, which I would love to see someone research. 😊
