Why forced compliance doesn't work with autistic kids...

1. They don't understand why they need to do the thing

2. They don't agree with the reason you gave them

3. You're attempting to override their autonomy (which is a need, not a want, for them)

Get them on board with the rationale and to agree it's important... and watch them do it. 💡
