Why autistic people can seem argumentative

I think autistic people are often mistaken for being argumentative or needing to be right when, in reality, it’s more about FEELING right and needing the other person to understand WHY.

Like, I will literally rephrase my point a thousand ways until I feel like you understand where I’m coming from.

I’m not being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative... I’m desperately trying to get on the same page as you... but my brain literally won’t let me drop it until I feel understood.
