Is autism a disability? A summary

Is autism a disability?

Legally... yes.

Medically... yes.

Philosophically... it depends on who you ask. 

The debate is a philosophical one. 

And from a philosophical standpoint, there is no right answer. 

Also, those of us who do consider our autism a disability feel this way because it limits our abilities... not because it removes them.

Disability is not a bad word. It's a descriptive one.
